intro post!

Here it is; 12:30 a.m. and I realize that I need to start a sports-themed blog that I've been thinking about for weeks. It's mid-February which means that the NFL is over and I have nothing to look forward to until March Madness. This year I've stepped up my game a notch because I want to get even more into sports overall because hey, I'm in college, it's not like I've got anything important to do with my time, right? And hell, I can't sleep anyway, why not write about sports instead...also, it doesn't hurt that I have my dollar betting going which forces me to take a lot more interest in a lot more things...a great thing to do, I suggest everyone invests in this.
Anyway, as you all know, sports basically consume my life - be it video games, watching, or playing them, so it's only natural that I'm finally wasting more time writing about them. So here's how I'd like to kick things off:

1. LeBron James is the 2nd coming of Christ. No question. There is indisputable evidence which, if you choose to refute, solidifies your place in hell.

2. I've taken the liberty of watching a lot more college basketball this year, and I've got some things to say about today's college basketball happenings.
First of all, Syracuse is a seriously dangerous team. I have never seen a team with a better 2-3 zone in the history of anything. I love it. Defense is sweet, not to mention that they beat WVU and that's a pretty big deal around here...so big, in fact, that a wvu fan down the hall from me responded to my post-game taunt with "that game didn't even matter." If you've ever been involved with a taunting, you know that means it was a big game.
Second on my list is the Gonzaga/Pepperdine game I'm currently watching. What the crap? Adam Morrison is on my shit list. Not just because he looks like Britney Spears should be married to him, but the way these announcers are on his bandwagon is reminding me of the Sean May escapades of last season. Furthermore, when the announcer of this game makes the statement that "no, it doesn't make a difference to be making threes in the WCC as opposed to the ACC" my ears began to bleed. How can he say that? Let's be honest here, is Pepperdine (7-16 prior to this game, with the last ranked offense in the wcc) really going to provide the defense that UNC or Maryland will be showing? I'm not all over JJ Redick's goods, but the guy can make a shot with a hand in his face, much more impressive than Adam Morrison.
Moving on to the actual game, either Pepperdine is stunningly good or Gonzaga plays terrible defense - it's a 1 point game with 4 minutes left in the first half.

3. Ricky Williams is retarded.
